Experiencing a severe allergic reaction can be quite traumatic, leaving the individual feeling helpless and anxious about facing the outdoors and the possibility of another insect sting. However, there is a treatment option available to help patients take control of their stinging insect allergies. Venom Immunotherapy (VIT) is a vaccination program that has been found to reduce the risk of systemic reaction in stinging insect allergic patients with an effectiveness of 95 to 97%.1,2
